After several weeks of development and field testing, finally KasKusMenu version 2.8.0 is released!

For those of you who haven't known it yet, KasKus menu is an extension for Mozilla Firefox aimed at making navigation in the KasKus online forum ( www.kaskus.us ) a hell lot easier.

KasKusMenu v2.8.0 Features

• Selectable Menu - in the Options dialog box, you may now choose the menu structure that you like. Currently, there are 2 menu structures: Classic - the long vertical menu similar to the earlier versions, and Modern - the wide, hierarchical menu style.
• Shortcut keys - now you can use KasKusMenu with keyboard, although only provided for the Modern menu for the time being.
• Easier access to Options & About - the Options and About dialog boxes can easily be accessed from the Tools menu or through the Fitur submenu (in KasKusMenu)
• Refactored Javascript Code - this last feature may not be visible if you don't like to spelunk in the source code. But the JavaScript engine that gave KasKusMenu its 'live' has been significantly renovated; it's now more maintainable, more scalable, and much more commented

How to Install KasKusMenu version 2.8.0

To help you do the installation, I've separated the methods according to your experience in using KasKusMenu.

For those who have not yet used KasKusmenu

1. Click on this link: http://pandu.poluan.info/progs/kaskusmenu/kaskusmenu_2.8.0.xpi
2. A pop-up will be shown: "Opening kaskusmenu_2.8.0.xpi". Choose Open With, then choose Firefox (through the Browse button or drop-down)
3. Click OK, and the standard extension installation dialog box will be shown. Follow the steps
4. Restart Firefox
5. Open the Options box from the Tools > KasKusMenu > Options menu, and set the settings according to your liking
6. Click OK
7. Enjoy KasKusMenu

For KasKusMenu version 2.5.x Users

1. First, uninstall the KasKusMenu that you're using, then restart Firefox
2. Next, follow the above steps

For KasKusMenu version 2.7.x Users

Utilize the Auto-Update feature built into KasKusMenu!

1. Open Tools > Add-ons
2. Click the Find Update button
3. Make sure that KasKusMenu is checked, then click Install Update
4. Restart Firefox
5. Done. Enjoy the newest KasKusMenu!
