As I promised, here's a Power Tip. But sorry, this one is for SERVERS only. Windows Server 2003, to be exact.
The story goes like this: You turned on your Server 2003. It booted well. It showed the MSGINA login screen. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, a dialog box popped up: Failed starting some services. Please see Event Viewer and go fuck yourself. (Or something to that effect).
So, you duly opened the Event Viewer... and lo and behold! you see red gremlins
parading in the Event Viewer. In my case there were several errors: FireDaemon errors, and MSDTC errors.
